Beware of parking attendants! Great location, large new rooms and very good breakfast! However, I think it's a bit poor that you have to pay for parking. I got a parking ticket in just 3 minutes! I did manage to get it cancelled though - but watch out for the parking attendants!

Had a top stay! Stayed for 2 nights as a couple at Kompas Hotel Aalborg during our road trip through Denmark. Right in front of the hotel you can park (for a fee), friendly staff, comfortable room. Good beds and shower! Also accessible for people in a wheelchair, the bathroom is completely adapted for this. Nice hotel bar to have a drink in the evening, board games available. Friendly staff, helpful and smiling without any fuss. The rooms were nice, though it would be a big help if there was a way to dry your towels when they are not changed every day. Breakfast was super and delicious.

ENVIRONMENTAL GOALS 

Planned activities for 2026:

  • We want to buy green electricity.
  • Flood sensor for bathroom to be fitted in all rooms.
  • We will work to reduce the return temperature of district heating water.

Completed:

  • Cleaning for resident guests does not occur automatically; it must be actively selected. 
  • Replaced cooker with ceramic hob cooker
  • Preparation of Co2 accounting. In the coming years, more data will be available from our suppliers. This will lead to our accounts becoming more reliable.

  • Return temperature from flow-through water heater has been reduced

  • Radiator valves are replaced on 30 radiators to limit the flow of heat and thus reduce the return temperature of the district heating water.

  • Tests are being carried out with a sensor/clock for showers to help reduce shower time. If the results are good, we will implement it in all bathrooms in the hotel.

  • Tests are carried out with a detector for water waste from toilets. If the results are good, we will implement it in all toilets throughout the hotel.

  • The motor on the old ventilation for room extraction is replaced with a more energy-efficient model.
