As night porter at KOMPAS Hotel Aalborg, you will be responsible for the hotel and its guests, and you will be our public face at night. You will become part of our fantastic reception team.
The shifts are between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, on both weekends and weekdays.

Tasks
The work is in three parts and consists of administrative tasks, cleaning and preparing and arranging the breakfast buffet. As a night porter, you are also responsible for closing down the day and preparing for the next.
- Guest check-in and check-out
- Telephone and email correspondence
- Café/bar sales
- Cash handling
- Room booking management
- Prepayments
- Upselling and room upgrades
- Responding to reviews
- Guest services, including taxi booking
- Stock replenishment
- Clearing up after events
- Preparation of premises for events
- Cleaning of premises
- Washing up in the kitchen
- Preparing breakfast
- Setting the table and preparing the restaurant
We expect you to:
- Taking your responsibility seriously
- Is the 100% dimensionally stable?
- Keep spirits high
- Working independently
- Has good IT knowledge, including the Office suite, and preferably knowledge of hotel management systems.
- Can keep many balls in the air and their head cool
- Passionate about providing excellent service to our guests
- Can vouch for the place's values
- Speaks both Danish and English, and understands the Nordic languages
- Smiling and well-groomed
- Outgoing, welcoming, and ready to help your colleagues, including those in other departments

Who are we?
KOMPAS Hotel Aalborg is one of the city's oldest and most popular hotels. For over 120 years, the hotel, originally founded as a seamen's home in 1905, has been a well-known landmark for the city's residents and a popular hotel for both Danish and foreign guests.
Thanks to a significant renovation and extension in 2019, we now have 110 hotel rooms and modern meeting and conference facilities. The hotel is centrally located in relation to the city centre and has some of the city's largest cultural institutions as its closest neighbours.
