ENVIRONMENTAL GOALS 

Planned activities for 2025:

  • Choice of ingredients in the kitchen: increased focus on choosing ingredients with lower CO2 emissions.
  • Verified and more accurate CO2 accounting
  • Replacing a hob with an induction hob
  • Sensor clock for shower installed in all rooms
  • In 2023 we replaced fans on 2 ventilation systems in the historical wing. The controls for these will be updated to reduce energy consumption and ensure that the ventilation only runs when needed.
  • We are working on getting better cooling of our district heating water. New sensors will be installed that can track our consumption and the time of day and give us insight into when the problem occurs.
  • Focus on reducing electricity consumption on kitchen appliances. (ovens and dishwashers).

Completed:

  • Preparation of Co2 accounting. In the coming years, more data will be available from our suppliers. This will lead to our accounts becoming more reliable.

  • Return temperature from flow-through water heater has been reduced

  • Radiator valves are replaced on 30 radiators to limit the flow of heat and thus reduce the return temperature of the district heating water.

  • Tests are being carried out with a sensor/clock for showers to help reduce shower time. If the results are good, we will implement it in all bathrooms in the hotel.

  • Tests are carried out with a detector for water waste from toilets. If the results are good, we will implement it in all toilets throughout the hotel.

  • The motor on the old ventilation for room extraction is replaced with a more energy-efficient model.
